One of those places
that's probably been around for ever
and might not make it
through the inevitable gentrification
of this still rather
gritty neighborhood.
Inevitable because of all the new
apartments towers
and tourist hotels
that have sprung up around
Which seems like a contradiction.
People will have to eat.
Theoretically
more customers.
But soon a bank or a pharmacy
or some other chain store will
be paying higher rent
for the nice corner location.
That's the way it goes.
