Hongkong is actually rather cold this time of year. Santas, Christmas trees and decorations are everywhere. Loudspeakers in every store and on every corner blast Christmas songs 28 hours a day. It's a merry overload making New York seem rather restrained.
I even ran into a Scandinavian Lucia train in the soho area of Hongkong.
