sea food in hongkong

What's truly wonderful with a walk through the street markets in HK is that it smells fresh. No old stinky fish smells from the seafood stalls. No rotten meat at the butchers. The strongest smells come from fresh herbs and dried mushrooms and other dried stuff. Fresh is truly fresh in Hongkong. I love food in Hongkong. Especially all things Chinese. But they also have some of the best western, Japanese and Indian chefs working in brilliant and upscale restaurants. But what's really amazing is that you can get a truly wonderful seafood or chicken noodle soup for next to nothing in a myriad of small back street joints close to the street markets all around Hongkong. The beer is cheap too.
