fashionable location

The view from the office I'm in right now
isn't the prettiest in New York for sure.
But it is New York.
Young photographers
are drawn to the empty back lot
I'm overlooking.
Models posing against
the grim back drop.

rain man

Pouring rain and no interest in the news papers he was selling
couldn't convince him of giving up his, normally, prime spot outside Penn Station.
The umbrella hawkers, however, stayed dried
safely parked inside, enjoying brisk business.
It's been raining for four days now.

when I'm way older than 64

Stepped into a bar in New England.
some 10 miles outside of Boston.
And turned out to be
the youngest dude in the club.
Those guys knew how to party,
and how to play.

Will get back with more on
who they are when I can find my notes.
I'm too young to remember.

too busy

So I haven't been to the pub,
or on vacation, or at the pool I don't have.

I've been working my ass off the whole summer.
Which is a good thing as far as I'm concerned
as my ass was getting a bit big lately.

I've not even had time to shoot pictures for this blog.
Haven't been walking the streets of New York or elsewhere for that matter.

I've mostly shot professional pictures for ad campaigns.

Well, here's an old shot from my personal "portfolio".
From the pub in my town.

Nat, local music producer,
musician, and good friend having a pint after a gig.
